Job Description
Supervisor - Plastics Recycling Facility

Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY1 3TG Salary: £38,480 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week

Responsibilities
  • Lead and delegate tasks to shift personnel, maintaining high standards of site discipline and team performance throughout your shift
  • Assist plant management with day-to-day production operations, monitoring machinery and communicating operational updates and key data to the production manager to maintain site efficiency
  • Supervise quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring input and output specifications including purity and flow rates are consistently met
  • Enforce strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company Quality and Environmental Management Systems, reporting any machinery or plant defects immediately and escalating concerns to management
  • Contribute to the operational excellence of our state-of-the-art Plastics Recycling Facility, which processes up to 200,000 tonnes of non-hazardous plastics annually
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar operational or production environment, with the ability to motivate and manage shift teams effectively
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to report accurately and interact professionally with team members and management
  • Attention to detail with the ability to monitor quality specifications and identify operational issues quickly
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and a genuine commitment to driving operational excellence and environmental responsibility
