Role OverviewAs a Supervisor at Blacks, you play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the shop floor and delivering the high service standards our customers expect. You lead by example, support colleagues throughout each shift, and help maintain strong levels of customer service, presentation, and store performance. You'll also assist with daily operational tasks as directed by Store Management.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver excellent customer service by supporting customers, resolving queries, and ensuring team presentation meets Blacks standards.
- Support sales performance by monitoring service levels, using in store systems to access the full product range, and assisting with effective product placement.
- Maintain strong visual and operational standards by keeping the shop floor clean, organised, and aligned with Blacks' brand expectations.
- Assist with daily operational duties including opening and closing procedures, cashing up, and supporting accurate till operations.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a fast paced retail or customer facing environment.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to guide and support colleagues on the shop floor.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to uphold high standards across service, presentation, and store operations.
- Passion for retail and the outdoors, with good product knowledge and the ability to represent the Blacks brand.
- Energetic, hands on leader who thrives in a busy, fast moving store environment.
- Confident problem solver with strong customer resolution skills.
- Interest in outdoor products, technical gear, and visual merchandising.
- Team focused mindset with a positive, supportive approach.
