We are recruiting an experienced Summer School Program Lead to join the senior leadership team of a residential summer education provider in Cambridge for Summer 2026. This is a hands on leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, smooth, and successful running of residential summer programs for young people. You will provide guidance and support to supervisors and teaching staff, oversee student welfare and safeguarding, and maintain oversight of daily operations.

This is a fully residential role, requiring overnight residence in Cambridge for the duration of the assigned program(s).

Program Dates - Summer 2026

Applicants may apply for one, two, or all of the following periods:

  • 3 July - 18 July 2026
  • 17 July - 1 August 2026
  • 24 July - 8 August 2026
  • 31 July - 15 August 2026

Compulsory induction training will take place in Cambridge on the Friday and Saturday of your first program. Alternative arrangements may be possible for candidates with graduation commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a senior point of contact and ambassador for staff and students
  • Oversee student welfare, safeguarding, behavioural issues, and disciplinary matters
  • Provide leadership and guidance to supervisors and teaching staff
  • Maintain oversight of daily schedules and the wider program, ensuring clear communication
  • Identify and resolve issues relating to accommodation, transfers, administration, and student wellbeing
  • Liaise directly with parents and external partners where required
  • Support contingency planning and respond to urgent situations
  • Ensure staff compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements
  • Promote organisational values, protocols, and standards at all times

  • Previous experience working in a residential setting
  • Experience working with young people
