Position Details

TAW SUMMER ONLY - PARAEDUCATOR - SUMMER SCHOOL

Work Hours: Two options

• 7:30 a.m to 12:00 p.m.
• 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)

• Ability and willingness to work with students in the Extended School Year services in their IEP.
• Ability to work with students with special education services aligned to their IEP goal(s).
• Ability to accept direction and lead from teachers
• Personal qualities to include: nurture, good attendance, patience, dependability
• Other duties as assigned by Principal, Coordinator, or Teachers
• Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.
• A successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
• Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, squat, push, pull and lift 50lbs
• Ability to be on feet most of the day
