Substitute Teacher - School Year (Job ID 1322)
Location & AvailabilityNewton Community School District - all school buildings. Available for the School Year.
Pay Rates- Base Rate: Hourly $20
- 8 hour day: $160
- 4 hour day: $80
- Long term rate (after day 21 of consecutive assignment for the same classroom): $25.98 per hour (requires Teacher or Substitute License).
- Current Iowa licensure (Teacher, Substitute License, or Substitute Authorization)
- Copy of Iowa Teaching License
- Copy of Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Certificate
- Transcripts from university/college
Apply online and upload a cover letter addressed to Laura Selover, Director of Human Resources. After submission, HR will receive notification, send a DCI background check form, and upon approval provide onboarding information.
