Are you looking to make a genuine impact where it counts? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join a dynamic team in Tower Hamlets. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with at least two years of experience to work full time, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00, with some flexibility for evening or weekend work. This position is initially for three months, with the potential for extension based on performance and service need.

- Manage a predefined caseload of service users, providing tailored one to one support and motivational interventions to foster recovery.
- Conduct initial assessments and contribute to the creation and review of person centred support plans and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with service users to establish recovery goals, empowering them to make positive life changes and promote independence.
- Deliver structured interventions, including group work focused on relapse prevention, life skills, and access to education, training, or employment.
- Provide practical advice and emotional support regarding substance misuse, including substitute medications such as methadone and buprenorphine.
- Adhere to policies on equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion to ensure fair and respectful treatment of all service users.
- Work flexibly to meet service needs, including occasional evenings or weekends.
- Offer direct, non judgemental, and practical support, particularly to Bangladeshi and Somali service users, within a harm reduction framework.
