Subspeciality Fellow in Gynaecological OncologyThe closing date is 03 February 2026
Responsibilities- Work closely with our three Gynaecological Oncologists and two Clinical Nurse Specialists
- Develop into a confident and experienced Gynae/Oncologist within 2-3 years of training
- Provide a robust surgical service for women with advanced ovarian cancer, performing radical surgery with minimal morbidity
- Run a minimally invasive surgical service using laparoscopy and robotics for the treatment of endometrial cancer
- Participate in the department's colposcopy service and achieve BSCCP Colposcopy Accreditation
- Actively involve in the Gynaecological MDT, clinics and audit programmes
- Contribute to research, with a target of two peer reviewed publications by the end of the training programme
- Engage in all areas of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, including a 1st on call covering obstetrics and gynaecology at a reduced rate of 50%
- Complete all necessary curriculum modules related to this role, either onsite or through approved methods
- Registered with GMC with a licence to practice
- Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (or equivalent)
- Distinctions, prizes, awards, scholarships, other degrees
- BSCCP accreditation
- ATSM in oncology
- ST5 or above
- Broad based competence of Gynaecology and Obstetrics
- Competent at managing second on call on Labour Ward
- Personal log book demonstrating surgical experience and outcome data
- Evidence of participation in clinical management activities
