Job Description
STUDIO OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR WORK PLACEMENT

Join LABRUM London, an African British Heritage fashion brand whose purpose is to tell the untold stories of West Africa and to help bridge the gap between Western society and African cultures.

We are currently offering a Studio Operations Administrator work experience placement to join the team at our 180 Strand studio. This is an expenses-only work placement. Travel and food expenses will be covered. The position is for a duration of 3-6 months with the potential of an extension and paid position.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Studio Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in fashion operations, studio management or executive support within a fast-paced creative environment. A backbone of our daily operations - split between managing studio logistics (fulfillment, inventory, and studio upkeep) and providing vital personal assistant support to our executive leadership team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Studio Operations & Fulfillment
  • Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and ship e-commerce and wholesale orders, ensuring a premium unboxing experience for our customers.
  • Customer Inquiry Management: Act as the first point of contact for customer service, handling inquiries regarding orders, sizing, and returns with a professional and helpful demeanor.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor, count, and organize stock levels of garments, fabrics, and studio packaging supplies.
  • Loss Prevention & Audits: Support regular stocktakes and inventory audits, helping to reconcile physical stock against digital inventory records and identify discrepancies.
  • Samples Tracking: Maintain accurate records of garments loaned for PR, styling, production and events, ensuring all items are logged, tracked and returned in excellent condition.
  • Studio Maintenance: Maintain a pristine, organized, and inspiring studio environment. This includes keeping communal spaces tidy, managing trash/recycling, and ensuring supplies are always stocked.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

You are a master of organization who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment. No task is too big or too small for you - you are just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to pack shipping boxes as you are managing complex calendars for executives.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Experience: Previous experience in an administrative, studio, retail, customer service, hospitality, or operational support role is beneficial but not essential. We are looking for someone highly organised, proactive, eager to learn, and excited to grow within a fast-paced fashion environment. This placement is designed as an opportunity to develop practical skills and, for the right candidate, has the potential to evolve into a long-term role and career path within the business.
  • Logistics Savvy: Comfortable handling physical inventory, shipping software (e.g., Shopify, DHL, DPD, Transglobal), and courier management.
  • Tech-Proficient: Skilled in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and general project management tools.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for handling high-end customer service.
  • Attitude: High level of discretion, a sharp eye for detail, and a self-starter mindset.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Hands-on experience across the operations of an internationally recognised fashion brand, with the potential for long-term growth and career development within the company.
  • Direct exposure to the day-to-day operations of an independent fashion business spanning design, production, wholesale, retail and community.
  • A vibrant, collaborative, and culturally rich working environment.
  • Opportunities to learn the inner workings of a growing fashion house.
