About the RoleWe are looking for a Student Voice Assistant for the faculty of Business and Law to support the Representation team in training, support, and recognition of Student Reps, and to contribute to the continued partnership with University Staff. You will support the Student Representation team in organizing, communicating and supporting Student Reps, ensuring they engage with UPSU and their university commitments, attend mandatory and additional training, and carry out their roles effectively. Understanding how to communicate with students from diverse backgrounds, working within a team, handling competing priorities, and adapting to volunteer needs are key.
The position is 7 hours a week (equivalent to 1 day a week) but may offer additional hours as required. A BAL student is preferable but is not essential.
Responsibilities- Support student representation training and support.
- Assist with communication and coordination of Student Reps.
- Ensure student reps meet training and role requirements.
- Collaborate with University staff and volunteer leaders.
- Provide organisational support to the Representation team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working with volunteers.
- Problem solving ability.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Proficiency with Google Suite (or Microsoft Office).
- Creative and social media skills are beneficial.
- Flexible working around other commitments.
- Inclusive and supportive team environment.
