An award-winning Tier 1 infrastructure contractor is delivering a nationally significant programme of works and is looking to appoint an experienced Structures Agent / Project Manager to join its growing delivery team.
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role on a complex, high-profile civil engineering project involving major structural and highways works. You'll be part of a collaborative team delivering critical infrastructure with strong long-term workload security, excellent career progression opportunities and exposure to technically challenging construction packages

Your new role
As Structures Agent, you will take responsibility for the safe, successful delivery of structural work packages across a large infrastructure scheme.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of bridges, reinforced concrete structures, retaining walls, culverts and associated civil engineering works.
• Managing programme, resources and construction sequences to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Coordinating design development, technical queries, buildability reviews and construction methodologies.
• Managing temporary works requirements and ensuring compliance with project procedures.
• Overseeing structural quality assurance, inspections, testing and handover documentation.
• Leading subcontractors, engineers and supervisors to achieve programme, cost and quality objectives.
• Managing interfaces with highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities and traffic management teams.
• Supporting commercial performance through forecasting, progress reporting and change management.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, designers and delivery stakeholders.
• Driving a positive safety culture and promoting best practice across all site activities.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Proven experience delivering major structures or civil engineering packages.

• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, formwork, temporary works and structural construction techniques.

• SMSTS and relevant CSCS card.

• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.

• Experience working on large infrastructure, highways, energy or major civil engineering projects.
