Structural Engineer

A well-established UK engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join its growing team. The business delivers practical, efficient and high-quality structural solutions across a broad range of building projects and offers a supportive environment with clear development pathways.

Responsibilities

• Produce structural designs from concept through to construction, including calculations and technical reports
• Design across materials including steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber (project dependent)
• Coordinate design information with architects, contractors and internal teams to ensure buildable outcomes
• Provide technical support during construction, responding to queries and attending occasional site visits
• Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold high technical and quality standards

Requirements

• A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent)
• Experience in a UK consultancy
• Strong calculation ability and attention to detail, with confidence producing technical deliverables
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
• Progress toward ICE/IStructE chartership (or Chartered status) is advantageous but not essential
