Working within our Design team, the Structural Engineer will play a key role in supporting structural design elements on projects.
What you'll do:
- Adherence to the Integrated Management System
- Undertake concept designs and planning projects at concept stage on a wide variety of buildings
- Responsible for the production of Structural Engineering calculations for light gauge steel frames, associated hot rolled members, and composite floor slabs.
- Delivering excellent project work within agreed deadlines and budget
- Interact with clients and other project members
- Keep management informed of important and relevant design decisions to ensure that the objectives of the company and the client are achieved
- Represent Remagin and attend meetings with clients and suppliers, with senior members of the team
- Understanding of the detailed design process, including the use of software, adherence to the process, and production of manufacturing information
- Undertake site visits as required
What you'll bring:
- Experience working as a Structural Engineer, preferably within steel design
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and alongside senior engineers and the external design team to provide engineering solutions
- Bachelor's degree (BEng / BSc) or Master's degree (MEng / MSc) meeting the engineering academic requirements for Chartership
