We've opened a role in our Sudbury or Timmins office for a talented, entrepreneurial Structural Engineer - Industrial/Mining to work alongside exceptional people in JLR's Structural group.

Your Role as an Industrial/Mining Structural Engineer:Let's discuss how your skills, experience, and passions can find a home at JLR. As an Industrial/Mining Structural Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with an established multidisciplinary technical team of engineers, architects, planners, and technologists.
- Supporting project teams in completing underground and surface infrastructure projects for mining and industrial markets, from concept to completion.
- Conducting feasibility studies, from scoping to preliminary engineering and costing.
- Performing building and structural assessments, feasibility studies, and detailed designs for assets on mine and industrial sites, such as headframes, conveyor galleries, equipment foundations, and underground and surface structures.
- Developing proposals to secure new projects.
- Managing workload to meet deadlines and align final deliverables with client expectations.
- Mentoring junior engineers and technologists.
- Growing into a Discipline Lead, overseeing the structural design team, coordinating across disciplines, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring QA/QC, and stamping final deliverables.
- Assisting with business development, including managing client relationships, preparing proposals, and working with multidisciplinary teams to develop competitive service offerings.
