This is a priority hire for a Structural Design Engineer to be a cornerstone of the Basingstoke team. Beyond hands-on design, you'll act as a local technical go-to - mentoring two junior engineers, reviewing/signing off their designs and reports, and helping keep projects moving. You'll also manage your own workload and take ownership of key client frameworks, typically handling 20-30 small to medium projects per month.

• 5+ years' post-graduate experience in structural design within infrastructure (e.g. bridges, stations, platforms, canopies or similar civil structures).
• Proven ability to produce and check structural calculations and deliver clear technical reports.
• Comfortable managing a high throughput of small-medium projects concurrently (c. 20-30/month).
• Willing and able to be in the Basingstoke office 5 days/week
• Capability to mentor two junior engineers and review/approve their outputs to programme and quality.
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills; able to act as a day-to-day client contact.

• Rail sector such as rail bridges/stations/platforms/canopies.
• Chartership
• Exposure to framework/client account ownership and commercial awareness (time, cost, quality).
• Prior mentoring/coaching experience and an interest in developing junior talent.
