Streets Operative

What You'll Be Doing

As a Street Cleansing Operative, you'll help keep the streets of Milton Keynes clean, safe and welcoming. You'll use a range of tools and techniques to maintain high standards of cleanliness across the area.

Your responsibilities include:

• Carrying out street cleansing tasks such as litter picking, hoeing weeds, shovelling detritus, removing sharps, emptying litter bins, clearing fly tipping and removing dead animals
• Using handheld devices (Core Light) to record tasks and support efficient working
• Working independently as a barrow sweeper or as part of a van crew, depending on the day's requirements
• Delivering a consistently high standard of service while following all Health and Safety procedures
• Supporting a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues and the public

Full training is provided, and PPE is supplied.
