Job Description

I am recruiting a Strategy & Policy Lead (Open Banking) for a financial services organisation based in London.

You will:

  • Help shape the business's perspective on emerging issues affecting the future development of scope, including changes in technology, data use, consumer needs, payments innovation and market structure.
  • Lead on input to frameworks on regulatory proposals and underpinning legislation and guidance.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality briefings, position papers, consultation responses and other materials to inform policy and legislative debates, influence external outcomes, and support the continued evolution of Open Banking.
  • Represent the business credibly and effectively in external policy forums, consultations, industry working groups and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure policy is embedded in delivery and cross-cutting solutions to issues.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and provide advice to senior leadership.
The Successful Applicant
  • Deep technical understanding of either Open Banking, payments, data frameworks or retail financial services and the related legislation and regulation.
  • Experience in policy development, regulatory engagement or public affairs, ideally within a fintech, payments or regulatory environment.
  • Strong analytical, writing and communication skills, with the ability to think and translate complex technical and policy issues into clear, actionable insight - strategically.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across industry, regulatory and internal audiences and to help shape views in a developing policy environment.
  • Passion for innovation, inclusion, and shaping the future of financial services.
