Job Description
- Our client is looking for a Strategy Analyst to work in the offshore team
- A leading offshore business - can be remote!
The employer is a medium-sized organisation within the Energy & Natural Resources industry. They are dedicated to innovation and excellence, working on impactful projects that contribute to the sector's growth.
Job Description- Cost Competitiveness Analysis: Conduct detailed economic and technical analysis to understand the cost competitiveness of key UK offshore wind supply chain components and services against global benchmarks. This includes benchmarking manufacturing, capital expenditure (CAPEX), and operational expenditure (OPEX) drivers.
- KPI Development and Monitoring: Refine, finalise, and track the sector Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the Industrial Growth Plan (IGP), particularly those relating to UK Content, GVA (Gross Value Added), Job Creation, and Exports. (Referencing the themes from the IGP document).
- Data Collection and Management: Establish robust methodologies and processes for the consistent collection, cleansing, and validation of sensitive and non-sensitive industry data required to measure IGP progress.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain performance monitoring dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (OWIC, Government) to clearly communicate the sector's progress against the IGP KPIs and strategic objectives.
- Strategic Insights: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable strategic insights and recommendations for intervention, funding priorities, and policy recommendations to accelerate supply chain growth and enhance competitiveness.
- Modelling and Forecasting: Develop and utilise economic and techno-economic models to forecast supply chain capacity, investment needs, and the potential impact of strategic interventions on cost reduction and UK value creation.
- A degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in related roles
- An excellent understanding of how supply chains work and the challenges they face
- Proven ability to effectively engage with senior industry representatives.
- Demonstrable skills in data analysis, modelling, report writing and stakeholder management.
- Experience in analysis (e.g. market intelligence, competitive intelligence, policy or consultancy)
- 3+ years of experience in offshore wind (Ideally but not mandatory)
£40,000 - £55,000 as a salary (pro rata)
