For our customer a Major Telecomms provide we are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for IT and BPO - the candidate will ideallly be German speaking

Location: Zurich, Switzerland (Hybrid Work Model)
Contract Duration: 12 Months (with potential for extension)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager with a strong background in IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) to join a Procurement and Strategic Sourcing team for a 12-month contract based in Zurich.
This is a high-impact role that will support key sourcing initiatives, drive cost efficiencies, and enable transformation in IT and shared service functions.
You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Finance, IT, and Operations, to deliver strategic sourcing projects and manage complex supplier negotiations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing processes for IT and BPO categories, including RFI/RFP, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and market conditions.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost structures to drive strategic decisions.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define requirements and ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance to ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
  • Support risk management, governance, and compliance initiatives across the sourcing life cycle.
Your Profile
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with a strong focus on IT and BPO services.
  • Solid understanding of IT services (software, infrastructure, cloud, managed services) and BPO operations (F&A, HR, customer service, etc.).
  • Proven track record in managing complex contract negotiations and vendor management.
  • Experience in a global or regional sourcing role within a matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; German is a plus.
