We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Manager to join our leadership team and help shape the future of our pupils' wellbeing and success.
About the RoleThis is a strategic leadership position at the heart of our school's commitment to pupil welfare. The successful candidate will lead on all aspects of pastoral care, safeguarding, and attendance, working closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to ensure our pupils thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop our pastoral provision, ensuring high quality support for pupils and families.
- Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, maintaining rigorous safeguarding practices and supporting staff in their safeguarding responsibilities.
- Champion attendance across the school, implementing effective strategies to improve pupil attendance and punctuality.
- Work strategically with SLT to embed a culture of care, resilience, and inclusion.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, staff, and external agencies to ensure joined up support.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of pastoral interventions, using data to inform practice and drive improvement.
- Proven experience in a pastoral or safeguarding role within an educational setting.
- A deep understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in leading attendance initiatives as the Attendance Champion.
- A proactive, solution focused mindset with the ability to lead change.
