Counterbalance Forklift Driver/Stores Operative
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay: £13.25 per hour
Hours: Full Time (8am - 5pm), Includes Sunday (1pm - 8pm)

About the Role
Pertemps Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a well-established and fast-paced distribution operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term, stable employment with the potential to secure a permanent position after a successful temporary period.

Duties

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles in a timely manner
• Order picking and preparing stock for dispatch
• Ensuring goods are handled and stored correctly within a cold storage facility
• Weighing goods ready to be packed for customers
• Updating stock records and completing basic warehouse documentation
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety compliance
• Working as part of a team to meet daily operational target

Requirements

• Valid and in-date Counterbalance FLT licence
• Previous experience working within a warehouse or distribution environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a cold environment
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong understanding of health & safety practices
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
