Job Description
Overview

Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Stores Lead / Inventory Manager to drive inventory excellence and support their operational goal of "on time, in full, every time".

Key Responsibilities
  • With over 5000 stock items, you will oversee all inventory processes, ensuring accurate receiving, secure storage, and timely picking.
  • Maintain ERP and WMS system integrity, ensuring physical stock matches system data.
  • Resolve discrepancies in quality, quantity, and timing, working closely with Quality and Engineering teams.
  • Lead and develop the stores team, assigning tasks and driving daily delivery targets.
  • Support procurement with demand forecasting, stock level setting, and E&O reviews.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, stock security, and location accuracy.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in inventory management within engineering or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, BOMs, technical drawings, and lean stock practices.
  • Proficient in ERP/WMS systems, barcode scanning, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
Desirable
  • Experience in hardware or ironmongery sectors.
  • Exposure to operations and planning functions.
