Riada are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business in Ballymena for an experienced Stores Co-Ordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day management of their busy stores operation. The Role

As Stores Co-Ordinator, you'll oversee the efficient management of materials, tools and inventory used throughout the manufacturing process. You'll ensure stock is accurately controlled, materials are available to production when required and the stores operation runs safely and efficiently. You'll also lead the stores team, helping to drive high standards, improve processes and minimise waste through effective stock control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage stock levels for raw materials, consumables, tools and spare parts.
  • Receive, inspect and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using the company's ERP system.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock usage and forecast future material requirements.
  • Maintain Kanban systems across manufacturing departments.
  • Implement Lean inventory practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Organise the stores area to ensure safe, tidy and efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and audit requirements.
  • Supervise, support and develop the stores team.
  • Communicate effectively with production and purchasing teams to prevent shortages or delays.

About You

We're looking for someone who can combine excellent organisation with strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

You'll have:

  • Previous experience leading a busy stores or materials operation.
  • Experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Strong inventory management knowledge, including stock control and reorder systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using ERP systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Experience with audits, compliance and documentation.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and respond to changing business priorities.
