Stores Controller
- Annual Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

We are excited to offer a permanent opportunity for an experienced Stores Officer to join a thriving business near St Athan. This role involves comprehensive management of stock and stores operations, supporting Part-145 aircraft maintenance activities. Day-to-day of the role:
- Administer and manage all aspects of stores operations supporting Part-145 aircraft maintenance activities.
- Oversee day-to-day stock control, including receipt, storage, issuing, and dispatch of materials and components.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure all inventory records are up to date.
- Ensure all material handling processes meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Manage and supervise all stores personnel across bonded stores, goods in/out, bulk stores, and tool stores.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management to the stores team.
- Ensure staff follow correct procedures, standards, and safety practices.
- Oversee the management, calibration, and control of tooling and equipment.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve tooling procedures, tool control processes, and tool store organisation.
- Ensure compliance with tool control regulations and internal audit standards.
- Act as the central point of contact for customer stock matters.
- Coordinate customer material requirements, ensuring timely availability and accurate tracking.
- Maintain strong communication and professional relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all stores and materials processes align with EASA/CAA Part-145 regulatory requirements.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and integrity in all documentation and records.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring any findings are addressed promptly.
- Identify operational issues proactively and implement effective solutions.
- Work efficiently under pressure to meet operational deadlines and support maintenance activity.
- Ensure stores areas are well organised, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
- Utilise strong IT skills to manage stock systems, documentation, and reporting.
- Produce reports or updates as required by management.
- Apply commercial awareness to ensure cost-effective procurement and stock utilisation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within an aviation or regulatory environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive, proactive approach to daily tasks and challenges.
- High degree of self-motivation and independence.
- Valid UK/EU driving licence.
- Proficient IT skills for managing stock systems and producing reports.
