What you'll be doing
  • Developing and implementing stock control processes, ensuring they are consistently followed

  • Managing stock levels, carrying out regular reconciliations, and keeping accurate records

  • Issuing stock, tools, and spares to engineers with full accountability and clear documentation

  • Receiving and checking deliveries against purchase orders, and preparing and dispatching goods to customers

  • Coordinating collections and deliveries with couriers and suppliers

  • Conducting routine facilities checks (including fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency lighting) and carrying out basic site maintenance

  • Reporting facilities issues, hazards, or compliance concerns to Directors promptly

  • Communicating clearly and professionally with engineers and colleagues to maintain stores discipline

  • Making recommendations on stock, facilities, and process improvements

About you

You will have solid experience in a stores, stock control, or warehouse role, and be confident introducing clear systems and structure to support a busy engineering environment.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience managing stores or stock control processes

  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail

  • Confidence communicating clearly and firmly while building positive relationships

  • Strong IT skills, with experience in stock control systems and/or spreadsheets

  • A hands on, proactive approach and the ability to work independently

  • Reliability, discipline, and a focus on compliance and safety

Desirable:

  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a similar technical environment

  • Knowledge of facilities management practices and compliance checks

  • Forklift licence or manual handling experience

  • Experience implementing process improvements or setting up new stock systems
