About the Job

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Storeman to join our team and play a vital role in developing the inter departmental feed of components on our production line. The ideal candidate will have experience in Storeman operations and a strong commitment to promoting best practices in stock control, processes, and picking, helping us deliver exceptional service while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Storing and Retrieval of stock and associated counting / re labelling and MRP system updates/transfers
• Stock Checking and Perpetual Inventory with adjustments and notification of relevant personnel
• Space management, stock consolidation, effective use of space
• Housekeeping activities both in the warehouses and the yard areas
• Supplying daily required parts and raw materials for M&A departments
• Any other items as advised by the Logistics Manager to contribute to the effective operation of the department

About You

• PC Literate - Email (Outlook), MS Office (Excel, Word, Access), Use of MRP and Warehouse management systems (Javelin in this instance)
• Previous experience of working in a production stores environment is essential
• Current VNA and Counterbalance are essential Forklift Licenses
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
• Highly motivated - able to work as part of a small team as well as the initiative to work alone when required
• Able to demonstrate a flexible and dynamic approach to all tasks set
• Effective time management - able to work within tight timescales in line with production needs
• Essential Current VNA and Counterbalance are essential Forklift License
