In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and organising the Welwyn office assets and inventory, including plant and consumables. You will ensure our field teams are equipped with safe, compliant tools while providing essential driving cover when required.
Key responsibilities include:- Inventory Management: Supervise all stores, assets, and consumables, using digital systems to track stock and perform regular stock takes.
- Equipment Safety: Ensure all equipment issued to the site is safe and compliant with manufacturer specifications and regulations.
- Compliance & Testing: Managing electrical equipment to ensure PAT testing is up to date and performing examinations before issuing stock.
- Defect Management: Identifying and segregating defective plant equipment, ensuring appropriate safeguards are in place until repairs are completed.
- Operational Support: Supporting the running of the Asbestos Waste Station in collaboration with the H&S department.
- Driving Cover: Providing 5-10% driving support, including the towing of Decontamination Units, to cover absences or high operational demand.
- Management Support: Assisting the Inventory Control Manager (ICM) with day to day ordering and providing full cover during their absence.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (No more than 6 penalty points).
- Strong Customer Service Skills and a professional approach.
- Organisational Experience within a store, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Reliability: You must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test.
- Towing & Forklift experience is preferred but not essential.
- A qualified PAT Tester is preferred but not essential.
- You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the projects you support.
