Job Description

Contract : Full-time preferred (part-time considered)
Availability: Must be able to work 2 weekends in every 4

We're looking for a confident, friendly and organised Store Manager to lead one of our Yorkshire home and lifestyle stores. This is a hands-on role with real variety - ideal for someone who wants to be part of a small, creative business where your input genuinely matters.

At Seddon and Davison, we focus on modern rustic interiors with a touch of understated elegance, as well as thoughtful gifts - from statement lamps and faux foliage to LED candles, cushions and throws. Alongside our handpicked homeware, we're known for our own wildlife-inspired collection, designed by co-founder Mark Davison inspired from his own British wildlife photography.

What you'll be doing

Leading the day-to-day running of the store with confidence and care

Overseeing a small retail team and supporting their training and development

Providing enthusiastic, knowledgeable service - and encouraging team engagement with our loyalty scheme and seasonal promotions

Managing deliveries, merchandising, and updating stock on Shopify POS

Picking, packing and dispatching online orders alongside daily operations

Sharing regular insight with our founder Kara on what customers are loving, and what's working in store

The kind of person we're looking for
  • Genuinely friendly - someone who enjoys chatting with customers and making them feel at home
  • Organised and proactive - you like getting things done and keeping things running smoothly
  • Confident in leading a team - you're happy to take charge of the day and support others
  • Calm under pressure - when it gets busy, you stay steady and solutions-focused
  • Interested in interiors and display - you notice what looks good and enjoy changing things up
  • Comfortable with retail systems and IT - you don't need to be a tech whizz, but tills, tablets, inventory tools, and help update stock through our Shopify POS. In addition, you are alsohappy to handle customer emails and basic admin tasks
