An exciting opportunity has become available for a Qualified Dispensing Optician to join a well-established independent opticians in Grimsby, taking on the role of Store Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering exceptional patient care, has a passion for optics and is ready to take ownership of the day-to-day running of a practice.

The Practice

You will be joining a friendly, experienced and dedicated team within an established independent practice that prides itself on providing a personal approach to eyecare.

The practice offers a comprehensive range of services, including eye examinations, contact lens services and visual stress assessments. They also stock a fantastic selection of designer frames alongside exclusive ranges, with access to their own manufacturing laboratory for efficient lens production.

The Role

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the practice, leading the team and ensuring patients continue to receive an excellent standard of service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and supporting the day-to-day running of the practice.
• Leading, motivating and developing the team.
• Maintaining excellent levels of patient care and customer service.
• Overseeing staff rotas and daily operations.
• Supporting sales performance and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Managing stock, frame selection and ordering.
• Handling patient queries and ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Maintaining high professional and operational standards.

What We're Looking For

• Fully qualified Dispensing Optician (FBDO).
• Current GOC registration is essential.
• Previous optical experience is essential.
• Previous management or supervisory experience would be advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Commercially aware with the ability to support practice growth.
• A passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
