Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (five days including weekends)

As Store Manager of our Battersea store, you will lead the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while driving sales performance and operational excellence. Reporting directly to one of our Directors, you'll play a key role in upholding Borough Kitchen's values of quality, integrity, and service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, inspire and develop a team of seven sales associates to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective training, motivation, and product expertise.
- Plan staffing levels and create rotas based on business needs and team availability.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews to support team growth.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate stock control and timely replenishment.
- Resolve customer enquiries and issues efficiently, maintaining high satisfaction levels.
- Ensure attractive and effective merchandising and product presentation.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative working environment.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
- Minimum 3 years' proven success as a Store Manager (retail), with a track record of hitting sales targets and elevating customer satisfaction.
- Strong people leadership: able to motivate, mentor and hold a team to account; confident running coaching sessions and formal performance reviews.
- Rota planning expertise: experienced in scheduling to business needs and staff availability.
- Advanced product-led selling skills and commitment to intensive product training.
- Inventory management: accurate stock control, replenishment and loss prevention.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; calm, solutions-focused approach to customer issues.
- Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Genuine passion for cooking, entertaining and quality kitchenware.
- Multi-site experience or stepping up to cover neighbouring stores.
- Experience with visual merchandising and store presentation standards.
- Familiarity with health & safety compliance and retail policies/procedures.
