Storage Consultant - SAN, Switches, 3PAR, SSMC - On-Site - Hamburg, Germany

A large global organization is looking for a Storage Consultant to assist on a large scale project.

This will be a 6-12 months+ contract with the possibility of multiple extensions.

This role will be worked 4 days a week on-site in Hamburg, Germany.

Fluent English is mandatory as all meetings/calls/emails/documentations are done in English.

Key Responsibilities/Skills:
Implementing of new solutions, updates, improvements (SAN Switches, SAN Storage, Tooling, Certificates)

• Implement POCs to validate new feature, new tooling before going to production
• Write associate documentation for process and usage
• Project Support
• Implement hardware and software solutions not covered by 3rd party operational teams

Participate to storage architecture design

• Storage architecture design support
• Architecture validation support
• Expertise on any configuration change regarding SAN Switches, 3PAR, Primera, Alletra

Support to External Support Provider teams (third party operational teams)

• Broadcom SAN: L3+
• 3PAR/Primera/Alletra: L3+
• Deep practical administrative knowledge of 3PAR/Primera/Alletra/Brocade on production customer environment including
• Tunings, Improvements, Optimizations and Best Practice Validations
• High Availability Configurations
• Migrations (Peer Motion on Storage, SAN Switch Technology Refresh, Software Solutions)
• Zonings
• Support of Obsolescence Management (Planning, Architecture )

Work on operation technical documentation for support teams

• Best practices documentation alignment and validation
• SAN Switches and Storage deployment setup
• Specific tools configurations and deployment
• Operational process (monitoring, performance, fine tuning, )
• Link to all DC teams (network, DC )

Provide reporting (performance and capacity)
Creation/support of multi-sources reports for management, operational teams, architecture teams using:

• SSMC/SANNav and Tableau
• Unix development (Shell, Perl, HTML, PHP, MySQL, python)
• 3PAR/Primera/Alletra and Broadcom CLI and GUI
• RestAPI for SAN products and customer CMDB
• Knowledge in Arxview from ArxScan, Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop

Technical Skills required:

• 3PAR/Primera/Alletra, Brocade, SSMC, SANnav, Arxview, Tableau
• Scripting: Bash, Python, Perl, MySQL, PHP, RestAPI
• Basic Knowledge for IRS, VMware, Hyper-V, Linux, Windows, Proliant, SSL Certificates
