Job Description

Main purpose of the role: Ensure the store's stock management process operates efficiently and effectively at all times and to conclude any other duties as directed to you by the Store Manager.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to engage with and prioritise customer needs
  • Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Main duties:

  • Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative
  • Forecast orders correctly at all times during the trading year (particularly at seasonal times)
  • Effectively coordinate the ordering for the ambient categories in store using the technologies and processes available
  • Maintain the back-store layout effectively
  • Merchandise and present the store to the highest standard at all times
  • Manage promotional activity effectively in store including - ordering, merchandising and reporting on the value add of the promotion to the store manager
  • Understand the sales versus stock holding and the impact this has on margin and cash flow.
