Job Description
Vickerstock is working in partnership with a warehousing and logistics business on the appointment of a Stock Control Manager.
As the Stock Control Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing stock control operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and high levels of customer service across the business.
- €42,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
- 1 in 3 Saturdays (day off in lieu provided)
In your new role:
- Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Stock Office Team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the Management Team.
- Produce weekly stock reports, Labour Management Standards (LMS) data, and ad hoc customer analysis as required.
- Ensure all customer stock transactions are processed accurately and efficiently by the Stock Office Team.
- Monitor stock accuracy and investigate discrepancies, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure stock is received, stored, and dispatched in line with customer requirements and operational procedures.
- Escalate operational or stock-related issues to the Operations Manager where necessary, providing clear updates and recommended actions.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve stock processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Stock Office Team, including scheduling, shift planning, attendance management, payroll reporting, and performance management.
- Coach, mentor, and support team members to drive engagement, development, and high performance.
- Ensures stock accuracy, timely reporting, and efficient service delivery to meet both customer and operational expectations.
- Previous stock management experience within a food manufacturing, logistics, or warehousing environment.
- Proven experience managing and developing teams within a fast-paced operational setting.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Excellent IT skills, including experience with stock management systems and reporting tools.
