Job Description
Overview

Duties will be to supervise our Stevedoring operations during stowage & unloading of vessels, general operations within the port warehousing. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to keep your team motivated, focused and performing to the very highest standards. It is envisaged that the successful individuals will become part of our flexible workforce & learn all parts of the operations to enable them to work in other areas of the business where necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise Stevedoring operations during stowage & unloading of vessels and general operations within the port warehousing.
  • Keep the team motivated, focused and performing to high standards.
  • Learn all parts of the operations to enable work in other areas of the business where necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience of heavy lifting operations would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working at height would be advantageous.
  • Full driving licence is essential as the Port operates across five sites.
  • Flexibility to work seven days per week including night shifts and Bank Holidays.
Remuneration
  • Starting salary £33k rising to £36k after training for 37.5 hours per week
  • Defined contribution pension scheme
  • 33 days holiday (inclusive of 8 statutory days)
