Pink Tile Education is supporting a secondary school in Crawley in their search for a motivated and enthusiastic STEM Graduate to join their team as a Trainee Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate looking to begin a career in education and gain hands on classroom experience while working towards a future teacher training pathway.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths who is eager to inspire young people and develop into a confident classroom practitioner.
You will work closely with experienced teachers, gaining valuable experience across KS3 and KS4 while developing your teaching skills, behaviour management techniques, and subject delivery.
Role Responsibilities- Support the delivery of STEM subjects across KS3 and KS4.
- Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and classroom delivery.
- Deliver pre planned lessons and small group interventions where appropriate.
- Support students in developing confidence and engagement in STEM subjects.
- Provide targeted support to students with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
- Help maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with teaching staff to develop effective classroom practice.
- Observe experienced teachers to support your professional development.
- Contribute to student progress tracking and feedback where required.
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
- A recent graduate in a STEM related subject (Science, Maths, Engineering, Technology, or similar).
- Passionate about pursuing a career in teaching and education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Ability to engage and inspire young people.
- Willingness to develop behaviour management and classroom leadership skills.
- Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
The pay stated is inclusive of the 12.07% PAYE holiday entitlement.
