STATION MANAGER PROMOTION PROCESS 2026
Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service are seeking transfers within role, or substantive competent Wholetime Watch Managers who wish to progress to a Station Manager role.
We are looking for candidates to join our team who have a proven outstanding leadership ability, who role model our Values, have the Core Code of Ethics at the heart of what they do and are high-achieving and passionate individuals.
It is essential that applicants are competent at Incident Command Level 1 or Level 2 (Station Manager transfers) and are qualified, or working toward a managerial qualification, at ILM level 3 (or equivalent) or above. All applicants are also required to hold a valid and current UK driving licence.
Applicants will have a thorough understanding of local and national fire service issues and demonstrate an ability to assimilate information and make sound and reasoned decisions.
As this is a demanding role, applicants will need to demonstrate a high level of self-awareness, personal resilience and an ability to work under pressure.
