Static Code Analysis Engineer

Role and culture

You'll join the three founders as one of the first engineers into the company. This will afford you the opportunity to shape the product, technical direction and the organisation itself.

Collaboration is vital to delivering on the vision established by the founders, this role is onsite. They want people in the office together: discussing, deliberating and throwing ideas at each other to come together and move forward in the best way possible. An old school startup if you like. In the office, around a whiteboard creatively solving problems, in the trenches together.

Technical focus

The specifics of this role would see you get deep into static code analysis, utilising GenAI to overcome the challenges and limitations of tooling currently in circulation. Experience, exposure or even a play with CoPilot tooling will be a big bonus here. Other key components of prior work would see you having worked with static analysers, language servers or IDEs.

The work itself will focus on dynamic language and within a run-time environment on a platform is highly data intensive with analysis over production code-bases. These code-bases could well number several millions of lines of syntax. In play is React for the frontend, Nest for backend, Neo4j and Machine Learning algorithms, so right at the bleeding edge of modern software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Deep into static code analysis and GenAI to overcome tooling limitations; experience with CoPilot tooling is a bonus.
• Experience with static analysers, language servers or IDEs.
• Work on dynamic language in a run-time environment with highly data-intensive production code bases (millions of lines).
• Collaborate closely with founders and other engineers in an onsite, office-based environment.
• Contribute to shaping product and technical direction as one of the first engineers.
