SoW Business Partner - Services Procurement
Location: London, hybrid with occasional travel to other UK locations
In this role, you will manage the end-to-end Statement of Work process. This includes building strong relationships with stakeholders to shape requirements early, validating and clarifying new SOW requests, and leading procurement activities through to negotiation and approval. You'll oversee SOW delivery to ensure milestones and service standards are met, manage change notices, and support supplier onboarding including MSA and rate card negotiations. A strong focus on operating model compliance and delivering against customer KPIs is essential.
Responsibilities- Manage stakeholder relationships: own and develop relationships with key stakeholders / requestors, helping to support and shape their requirements from an early stage.
- Receive and validate new SOW requests: review and clarify requirements, ensuring a clearly defined specification.
- Run procurements and negotiate SOWs: identify most appropriate route to market, run procurement or mini competition, evaluate responses and negotiate draft SOW for approval.
- Maintain oversight of SOWs in delivery: monitor in-flight SOWs to ensure milestones are met and services are provided in accordance with the terms of the SOW.
- Manage SOW change notices: renegotiate SOWs as required in response to material change in circumstances e.g. change of project scope.
- Supplier Onboarding: manage ad hoc supplier MSA and rate card negotiations as required.
- Operating Model and Standards: ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with agreed operating processes.
- Customer KPIs: Deliver services that demonstrably meet or exceed customer KPIs.
- Experience in procurement, either as a practitioner or within an outsourced environment.
- Understanding of the key principles of contract law.
- Familiarity with UK public sector procurement regulations
- Experience in a client-facing services delivery environment e.g. procurement outsourcing or MSP.
