Position Summary

Responsibilities

Set technical direction and standards within an Agile environment, actively participating in sprint ceremonies while guiding architecture and engineering best practices. Lead the design and delivery of scalable, user-focused software, owning architectural decisions, conducting design reviews, and ensuring long term maintainability. Develop and elevate high quality codebases across frontend and backend using TDD, code reviews, and hands on mentoring to raise overall engineering quality. Serve as the primary technical escalation point, resolving complex issues, unblocking dependencies, and providing clear technical judgment on high risk initiatives. Drive execution and collaboration by coordinating releases, ensuring production readiness, and partnering cross functionally with product, design, security, and platform teams to translate business goals into actionable technical plans.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of Java development experience (Spring Boot / Spring MVC) delivering enterprise solutions in large scale distributed systems.

3+ experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, microservices, backend systems and experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

Hands on experience in cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure and end to end DevOps pipelines.

2+ years of experience using Agile concepts such as continuous integration (CI/CD) and test driven development (TDD).

Proven ability to operate independently with strong ownership, and mentor junior engineers effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare domain experience (e.g., PBM/NCPDP/HIPAA).

Experience with AI/generative AI solutions and technologies.

Experience with an Application and Performance Monitoring platform.

Knowledge of message queues and event driven architectures (Pub/Sub, Kafka, etc.).

Experience with SRE or DevOps practices, including incident management and root cause analysis.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: €65,000.00 - €165,000.00
