Staff Nurse, Stroke Unit

We are looking for dynamic, forward thinking and committed nurses to join our dedicated teams within the CTM wide Stroke Unit.

The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high quality person centred care.

Main duties of the job

We are a 50 bedded unit based in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

Staff are committed to your ongoing professional development and you will benefit from preceptorship and the support of an experienced and enthusiastic multi professional team, committed to the delivery of excellent patient care.

We provide all new staff with an induction period, a 'buddy' nurse and the opportunity to join our Clinical Supervision programme. We welcome and encourage all enquiries and applications for both full and part time positions.

The Health Board currently operate a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5 hour shift, inclusive of either one 30 minute or two 30 minute unpaid breaks. These shift patterns are subject to review and the Health Board reserves the right to change working arrangements. CTM is a Health Board committed to meaningful consultation with staff and to making balanced decisions that consider all aspects of our service and workforce.

Personal Qualities
  • Good interpersonal skills.
Aptitude and Abilities Skills
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Welsh language speaking/listening skills at Level 3 or above.
Experience
  • Previous experience of working in a ward environment.
Qualifications and/or Knowledge
  • UK NMC Registered General Nurse.
  • Ability to demonstrate responsibilities under NMC Code of Conduct.
