Pantomine Ward is a 27 bed specialising in Gastroenterology and Liver diseases.
We have a number of career opportunities for both newly qualified and experienced registrants and who hold an NMC only, who are passionate about delivering high quality, patient centred care in a friendly professional setting.
The ward has achieved a silver accreditation and prides itself on developmental opportunities and learning. Teamwork is paramount within the ward and staff are passionate about implementing changes for exceptional patient care. The team is innovative and supportive for all staff members.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced-based nursing care, working collaboratively and cooperatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Assist in the management and organization of their clinical area and participating in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.
The unit works closely with all members of the MDT focusing on effective and safe discharge of our patients. We provide the unique opportunity to work within different areas to develop and extend skills and knowledge in a supported environment. To co-ordinate the work of healthcare support workers, assistant practitioners, students, preceptorship nurse (depending on level of experience) in the delivery of nursing care.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
