UPMC Aut Even is currently recruiting for a dual qualified (Paediatric and General) nurse to join our team due to the growth of the Paediatric services in the hospital.This is a full time, permanent role.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- towork as a member of a team of nurses at UPMC Aut Even Hospital providinghigh quality, patient-centred care for patients and their families.
- Todevelop and maintain good relationships with all members of themulti-disciplinary team.
- Towork closely with nursing colleagues, developing innovative practicewithin the unit delivering evidence-based care.
- Todevelop specialist knowledge of nursing practice relating to theirclinical area.
- Developand maintain effective communication and interpersonal relationships withall members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a good team spiritand collaborative working practices.
- Identifyand discuss nursing and patient needs with consultants, nursing team,multi-disciplinary team, patients, and carers.
- Acceptresponsibility and be accountable for the holistic care of a named groupof patients on a shift basis.
- Ensurethat the highest possible standards of patient care and patient safety aremaintained at all times.
- Demonstrateand promote a patient-centred style of clinical practice, acting as apatient advocate at all times and providing emotional and psychologicalsupport to patients admitted to the unit for treatment.
- Be aregistered General & Paediatric nurse with the Nursing and MidwiferyBoard of Ireland (NMBI).
- Surgicalexperience.
- Evidenceof ongoing CPD.
Salary: €44,810.72-€56,200.37 per annum based on a 37.5 hour work week
