Job Description

RecruitNet International Ltd is currently recruiting a Staff Nurse for a Nursing Home in Co. Dublin, Ireland .

Work Pattern
  • Full flexibility is required , as the role involves a combination of day, night, weekend, public holiday, and bank holiday shifts .
RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide and maintain high-quality, effective, and person-centred nursing care in accordance with residents' individual needs.

Comply with the NMBI professional code, Nursing Home policies, procedures, and all relevant nursing home legislation and regulatory requirements.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans, ensuring they accurately reflect each resident's current condition and are reviewed regularly.

Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date clinical records, including resident assessments, care plans, and nursing documentation.

Promote respectful and effective communication and interpersonal relationships with residents, families, visitors, staff, and multidisciplinary team members.

Coordinate resident care collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring appropriate interventions are delivered and evaluated.

Administer and safeguard medications in accordance with medication management policies, including safe recording, ordering, receipt, storage, and administration.

Maintain infection prevention and control standards, including the safe disposal of clinical waste, syringes, soiled dressings, and other hazardous materials.

Ensure the availability and safe use of medical equipment and supplies, reporting defects and arranging replenishment as required.

Provide appropriate clinical leadership and support to nursing staff, including delegation, supervision, guidance of new or inexperienced staff, coordination of care in the absence of senior nurses, and responding appropriately to emergencies.

Requirements
  • Hold a nursing qualification recognised and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Hold current NMBI registration.
  • Possess an HSE Medication Management Certificate.
  • Proven experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of elder care and the needs of older persons.
  • NMBI Registration - Required
  • HSE Medication Management Certificate - Required

Competitive Pay Rates - Hourly rates will be determined based on the candidate's level of experience.
