Staff Nurse

We are hiring Staff Nurse for one of the best Nursing Homes in Galway who is passionate about improving the quality of life of their residents and places a strong importance on social, physical, and mental stimulation.

Hourly Salary Range: Approx. €21/hour. Salary Details: DOE (Depending on Experience).

This position is open only to applicants who hold EU/EEA citizenship or have an existing, unrestricted right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, and effective nursing care in accordance with NMBI standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and review individualised care plans
• Administer medications safely and accurately in line with organisational policies
• Monitor, document, and respond promptly to changes in residents' clinical conditions
• Lead, support, and supervise care staff during shifts
• Promote residents' independence, dignity, and overall quality of life
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, GPs, and the multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical recordsEnsure ongoing compliance with HIQA regulations, policies, and best practice guidelines

Requirements

• Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Strong clinical knowledge with a clear commitment to person-centred care
• Previous experience in elderly care
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
• Fluent written and spoken English
