The Hospital at Home Teams within Fife provide a service for the frail elderly population (predominantly over 65yrs), which prevents acute hospital admission or facilitates early supported discharge where acute hospital admission has taken place. It allows people to have a period of "acute" medical care within their own home, which will in turn allow the person to recover from a period of illness without needing hospital admission.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinician with a keen interest in acute care in the community to join our well established Hospital at Home Team within Cupar.
You should be a Registered Nurse with relevant experience and the ability to work autonomously.

All successful candidates will be required to deliver a high standard of safe and effective acute medical patient care within patient's homes and must have the ability to work autonomously in this evolving service. All candidates will have good communication skills and have a flexible attitude to work. The ability to travel within the area, provide daily routine clinical interventions and respond to urgent care needs in a timely manner is essential.
This post involves flexibility to work over a 7 day period, working shifts covering the period from 08.00 - 22.00. On appointment the successful candidate will be based at Adamson Hospital Cupar although cross team working to support service needs is an expectation of the role.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
