Overview

The West Suffolk Hospital Foundation Trust Endoscopy Unit is recruiting ambitious and passionate registered nurses to learn new skills and pursue a rewarding career in our JAG (Joint Advisory Group) accredited unit. Although previous endoscopy experience is desirable, full training will be provided.

We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, who have a kind and caring attitude, and who wish to expand their skills in the health care setting and develop their leadership skills.

Main duties of the job

The Endoscopy unit is a busy JAG accredited unit undertaking diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. As an Endoscopy staff nurse you will be trained to rotate around all sub-specialities within the unit. This includes Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy and Cystoscopy. Person Specification Education and qualifications
  • RGN Level 1 or 2 (NMC Registered)
  • BLS
  • Willingness to teach both formally and informally
  • ILS
Experience and knowledge
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Previous experience of working in a specialty area
Skills and abilities
  • Good time management
  • IV drug administration
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Able to work in a team/independently
  • Able to participate in out-of-hours on-call rota

Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per year, Pro Rata
