PE Global Healthcare is currently recruiting a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist on behalf of a leading mental health hospital in South Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing specialist mental health services to older adults in a supportive and progressive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver the highest standard of Occupational Therapy clinical care in line with local and national standards, policies, and best practice guidelines.
- Undertake comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments to identify residents' and patients' functional, cognitive, emotional, and occupational needs.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individualised treatment and intervention programmes based on clinical assessment and professional judgement.
- Collaborate with residents, families, carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team to establish meaningful, person-centred goals and care plans.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to assessment, care planning, discharge planning, and ongoing clinical review.
- Promote independence, engagement in meaningful occupations, and recovery-focused practice.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical records in accordance with CORU standards and organisational policies.
- Participate in service development, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing professional development.
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with CORU.
- Experience working with older adults, preferably within mental health, psychiatry of later life, rehabilitation, or community services.
- Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering person-centred, evidence-based care.
