Join Our TeamWe are seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to expand our actuarial pricing capabilities as our business grows. The role involves both strategic and execution responsibilities and reports to the Head of Business Planning & Pricing, International, with ultimate reporting lines to the Chief Pricing Actuary & Chief Underwriting Officer.
Your Responsibilities- Portfolio Steering: Collaborate with the International SLT to align on growth and portfolio investment, supporting analyses, remediation, and investigations.
- Evaluate large, multi-class deals: Provide insights into deal economics and viability.
- Monitor key account performance: Participate in reviews with MGA partners and third parties.
- Foster continuous improvement: Enhance pricing capabilities maturity.
- Develop processes and tools: Ensure consistency and explore new techniques and technologies.
- Maintain Pricing Policy: Ensure it remains fit for purpose and monitor adherence.
- Conduct peer reviews: Review work of team members and promote best practices.
- Develop KPIs and frameworks: For performance monitoring.
- Support Syndicate Plan and Strategy: Collaborate on setting planning loss ratios and key drivers.
- Collaborate across departments: Provide insights for ORSA, Actuarial Function Reports, and other projects.
- FIA or equivalent with 7+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Proficient in applying pricing techniques across various classes of business.
- Experience in implementing change and managing process improvements.
- Skilled in analyzing large data volumes.
- Curious, open-minded, and eager to improve.
- Commercially minded with pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
