Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex IT projects and programmes. You will be responsible for managing full project lifecycles - from initiation to closure - ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You will also mentor junior project managers and play a key role in strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex IT projects.
• Manage project scope, budget, resources, schedule, and risks.
• Provide strategic guidance and reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain high-level stakeholder relationships across the business.
• Form strategic partnerships with suppliers and ensure vendor performance.
• Ensure project compliance with governance, cost control, and quality standards.
• Support project readiness and transition to operations.
• Coach and mentor junior and mid-level project managers.
• Contribute to the definition of project management standards and practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects and programmes.
• Strong expertise in project management frameworks and tools.
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
• Experience with strategic planning and enterprise-level advisory.
• High-level stakeholder and vendor management capabilities.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Structured, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).

Desirable Qualifications:

• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA).
• Experience in IT product/project demand planning and governance processes.
