About the Role:

The Team: Join our highly dynamic Enterprise Solutions division as a hands on Database Engineer. Our team is focused on optimizing and unifying our database infrastructure. We value innovation, collaboration, and a global mindset as we work towards creating a seamless database environment.

Responsibilities and Impact:
  • Manage and optimize SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases hosted in AWS environments such as Amazon RDS, Amazon EC2, and Amazon Aurora.
  • Tune SQL Queries and stored procedures for optimal performance and document tuning efforts and outcomes.
  • Implement database partitioning, compression, and indexing strategies for performance optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, developers, system administrators, and DevOps teams to ensure efficient database integration with business applications.
  • Support application teams in writing efficient queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Utilize AWS tools like CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and CloudTrail for proactive database monitoring.
  • Implement security best practices using AWS services like AWS KMS, IAM Roles, and Security Groups for database access control.
What We're Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications:
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022, Oracle 12c/19c, Postgres 12/13/14/15/16, and MySQL.
  • Hands on experience with Amazon RDS, EC2 hosted databases, and AWS migration tools like AWS DMS.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, TSQL/PLSQL/PGSQL, and performance tuning techniques.
  • 16+ years of experience as a DBA managing SQL Server, Oracle databases, Postgres, and MySQL.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with cloud automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
  • Strong understanding of database security, auditing, and encryption best practices.
  • Experience in PowerShell, T SQL, PL/SQL, PGSQL.
  • Experience with AWS database migration strategies and cloud performance tuning best practices.
