Job Description
SQL Systems Developer - £40,000 to £45,000 - Herefordshire

We are supporting a well-established organisation in Herefordshire who are looking for a Systems Engineer to join their internal IT and Systems team. This is a key role focused on maintaining and improving the systems that support day-to-day operations across the business.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL experience and be confident working with the databases and applications that underpin core business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the systems used across the organisation.

  • Work with SQL to read, write, and modify queries, stored procedures, and related objects.

  • Assist with SQL Server tasks including backups, restores, and maintenance plans.

  • Investigate and resolve system or data issues in a structured and logical manner.

  • Support ongoing improvements to internal systems and contribute to stability and performance.

Key Skills

  • Strong SQL experience is essential.

  • Understanding of SQL Server environments (backups, restores, maintenance).

  • Ability to troubleshoot system and data issues.

  • Experience supporting business-critical systems.
